Airbus Flight Academy Europe is a 100% subsidiary of Airbus. It was created in 2006 to supply the training assets and services to support the French Air Force and French Navy pilot schools for elementary, basic and advanced pilot training. For the purpose of theses contracts, Airbus Flight Academy operates a fleet of 100 aircraft (Xingu, Cap 10, D140, HK36, Grob 120A-F, Cirrus SR20 and SR22 and Diamond DA42 VI, Elixir).

The Company owned aircraft are modern, fitted with full glass cockpit avionic and are IFR rated (except the Elixir) . In addition, Airbus Flight Academy Europe operates on its site and customer sites a fleet of FNPT 2 qualified simulators to offer the best training solutions to student pilots. Now, Airbus Flight Academy Europe deploys its own pilot training capacity while joining the Airbus Pilot Cadet Training Programme. The training center sited in Angoulême, South West of France, offers all needed training facilities and assets to provide our cadets the best training conditions.

Airbus Flight Academy Europe is located on 8 permanent sites in France and can intervene everywhere in France or abroad on customer request.

Our approvals

Airbus Flight Academy Europe is accredited of the following agreements delivered by the ad-hoc authorities, e.g. the French DGAC for civilian aircraft or the DSAE (Direction de la Sécurité Aéronautique d’État), a French MoD entity, for state aircraft.

Approval for flight training

Airbus Flight Academy Europe delivers the training under the airbus EASA FR.ATO.0005 approval.

Airbus Flight Academy Europe has the knowledge and the needed experts to intervene on Lycoming, Continental engines as well as Continental diesel engines.
